Center of commerce, COC
Center of Commerce is a one year production and webshop project run by Jenny Nordberg. The desire to make things from scratch is one of the starting points of Center of Commerce. To produce items that originate in lust rather than function is another. A third is to investigate whether it’s possible for a designer to conduct commerce on fair terms for everyone involved. And also, can a designer who doesn’t have a natural place in a commercial sales context still reach out?
Center of Commerce offers unique items, small series and items made to order – Made On Demand. All items are designed by Jenny Nordberg.

The commerce experiment Center of Commerce is run for a year between 01-12-13 and 01-12-14 . After the year has passed, an evaluation will be made. Center of Commerce will be mapped and studied. How did it go? Who was the buyer? What were important events? What was good? What was bad? How much was sold? What was popular? What was not at home? How much greater was the benefit compared to if the items were sold in the regular way? Does one become happy by working this way ? Can one live on it? And so on.
Center of Commerce är ett ettårigt produktions- och webshopsprojekt som drivs av Jenny Nordberg. Lusten att tillverka saker från grunden är en av utgångspunkterna för Center of Commerce. Kommersexperimentet Center of Commerce drivs under ett år mellan 01-12-13 och 01-12-14. Efter året har gått kommer en utvärdering att göras. Center of Commerce kommer att kartläggas och redas ut. Hur gick det? Vem var köparen? Vad var viktiga händelser? Vad var bra? Vad var dåligt? Hur mycket såldes? Vad var populärt? Vad gick inte alls hem? Hur mycket större blir vinsten om en säljer på detta sätt i jämförelse med om objekten sålt på vanligt sätt? Blir en glad av att jobba så här? Går det att leva på detta? Och så vidare.
